The Energy Efficiency Management Office (EEMO) participated in a Mitigation Action Facility breakout session during the Regional Practitioners Forum for Small Island Developing States (SIDS), held in February 2026 in Ébène, Mauritius.Representing the Mauritius – Energy Efficiency Project, Vedprakash Auckaloo (Executive Director, Capital Asset Management Mauritius) and Ziyaad Toofany (Senior Engineer, EEMO) shared insights from their experience in developing a Mitigation Action Facility project.The session highlighted financing pathways for sustainable energy, the development of bankable projects aligned with NDC priorities, and guidance on preparing mitigation projects for international donor support.
